Occasion guide No. 3

The Backyard Hat Bar Party

Home parties are the purest version of what we do — no venue rules, no load-in dock, just a corner of the patio that becomes the most popular spot in the yard.

The three-things site check

Power: our presses run on one standard household outlet on its own circuit — the same draw as a space heater. If your yard outlet shares a circuit with the kitchen where the caterer is working, tell us and we will bring distribution from a different plug. Shade: presses and July sun both make heat; a patio cover, garage bay, or our pop-up canopy keeps the crew and the line comfortable. Space: an 8-by-10-foot footprint with guest room in front. Grass is fine; we level tables on turf weekly.

Why evening backyard parties press better

Afternoon parties compete with the pool and the grill. Evening parties funnel everyone toward light and activity — and a glowing press station under string lights becomes the gravitational center of the yard. If your party runs past sunset, we bring station lighting so the patch menu stays readable.

Load-in without drama

The crew arrives about an hour ahead, hand-carts everything through a side gate or garage, and dresses the table before your first guest parks. Teardown after a backyard party takes about 45 minutes and we haul out everything we brought, down to the patch scraps. Neighbors notice the party, not the production.
